A New Year

The old year is gone,

A new year is born.

Forget all that is past,

And press towards the mark.

Eternal life is the goal

For Everyone’s dear soul

Jesus is the guide

Who takes us in His stride.

Be not afraid nor dismayed,

He is always near our side.

March on, He is the way.

Trust him and do obey.

This is the whole duty

Of men for eternity.
