FIMMDA

Bridging Bankers

An audio visual presentation that celebrated the history and success of FIMMDA

The Challenge:

The Fixed Income Money Markets & Derivatives Association (FIMMDA) was looking to showcase the association’s story of how the institution had come to life and the various achievements it had made in the financial sector. This was a presentation that was to be done before the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and various heads of treasuries of Indian Banks. Having seen the presentation done for CCIL, the company was looking for something similar.

The Work

The Solution:

The flash animation video that was conceived for FIMMDA depicted an animated map. A story is told of four islands and how they are through the ages interconnected with each other as an analogy of the various institutions and organisations that FIMMDA has worked with over the years. The presentation featured key milestones and pictures the FIMMDA team across the years.

The Experience

Project Diary

Building Bridges

Having done one successful animation for CCIL, when it came to telling the story of FIMMDA, we jumped up to the opportunity to work our magic again. This time however I had project oversight, with one of my capable junior writers – Anshita Sheda leading the script development and Shirish Prabhudesai once again taking the helm of art direction and animation.

With a slightly more complex script to animate we likened the story of FIMMDA to that of the many islands of Bombay. The highlight of the project perhaps was having my father the CEO of FIMMDA to visit the R K SWAMY office and meet the team and the opportunity for the team to present at the FIMMDA office and attend the event where the animation was being showcased. Building bridges between teams in more ways than one.
