Mercedes-Benz was looking for an efficient and innovative way to wish its fans a Happy New Year with an EDM. They wanted to take a trip off the beaten template path with something that turned heads in the new year.The Work
The Solution:
We racked our brains as the clock raced down. What could we achieve with limited assets at our disposal? All Mercedes-Benz artwork is usually repurposed from photos distributed by the team in Germany. Yet we wanted something a little different and came up with the idea of doing a creative from a top down perspective. This makes the creative standout for customers who receive regular template base emailers from the brand. Animation sweetened the pie.The Experience

Drift brothers
With the year ending and everyone extremely busy, I remember this interesting brief falling into my lap. This was an opportunity to do something for our favourite auto brand beyond strictly adhering to logo lockups and the templates. Brand new territory for the brand. I can’t quite recall the first piece of inspiration that lead us to the idea of a car drifting out the New-Year. Perhaps too much time playing Need for Speed.
The answer was our first animated GIF mailer for Mercedes-Benz India. A piece of work that broke the monotony of our regular client work with the idea of writing out our message in skid tracks with bold and simple animation. A fast and fun piece of work to execute. The icing on the cake was when the client green-lit this creative emailer.
