Raymond Wedding Wear

Making a momentous moment effortless

Guiding grooms to look their best for their best.

The Challenge:

When it comes to making a mark on the most important event in your life, there is nothing that quite says it like a suit. Raymond for a long time has been the go-to choice of suiting fabrics for Indian men. A tradition that is oft handed down from one generation to another. Yet with the dawn of the digital age and a multitude of foreign suiting brands flooding the Indian market, Raymond once again needed to step forward to make a mark amongst Indian males. What better way to do it than to bolster an area where Raymond already ruled the roost. Weddings.

The Work

The Solution:

The wedding wear microsite created for Raymond focussed on being a guide that prospective grooms could read before their big day. This is a website that is created to guide a groom through the entire process of selecting the right suit for the engagement, wedding and reception. It provides handy tips on how to manage the events to ensure that things go off as smoothly as possible. Users could then download a style guide, select a suit style and approach their tailor to have the kind of suit that is tailor made to their physique stitched.

The Experience

Project Diary

An experience that weds the best of both worlds

The Wedding Wear website for Raymond was the first full blown website we did for Raymond. Its success leading to sites done for other Raymond fabric collections and even the Raymond Furnishings brand in the future.

One memorable moment of working on this project was the dynamics of working with my head of servicing M.P. Nicholson and the rest of the mainline Raymond team to get the content for the website approved. With copy being whetted by those who had been custodians of the brand for years, it was definitely a personal challenge to ensure that this work was a cut above the rest. Once again the impeccable art direction of Navin Harish ensures that this site, though now quite old still stands a class apart.
